Problem

Working parents often face a multitude of needs—reliable childcare, a conducive workspace (especially for remote or freelance workers), and self-care—that typically require separate locations. Traditional daycare might cover the child’s needs but leave parents without support, leading to stress, isolation, and burnout. This was the problem facing Britt Riley, founder of the Haven Collection, as she struggled at her remote job, balancing her career, childcare, and self-care. Riley identified a gap in the market for a facility combining childcare, coworking, and fitness, as working parents often juggled multiple locations for these needs.

Solution

The Haven Collection was created in 2019 to address this challenge by integrating childcare, coworking, and fitness into a single, community-focused facility. The Haven Collection’s three-in-one model co-locates services for parents and kids. Each Haven location features an infant through PreK childcare center, with a Reggio Emilia/Montessori-inspired curriculum, adjacent to a coworking space with private offices and open desks, and an on-site gym and wellness suites. Parents join as members, booking flexible childcare schedules that align with their work or self-care routines. The business operates on a membership model, with different price tiers.
