Sears, Kmart and Shop Your Way are committed to customers, members, associates and communities. They look at their business through a customer-centric lens and as such, when a disaster impacts their customers, they swiftly respond to assist those in need. Sears wants people to consider their stores as safe-havens during crisis, and know that they will set up Comfort Zones when appropriate, creating a space for customers to gather, share information, and collectively deal with the trauma and tragedy occurring. These Comfort Zones provide:
• Power strips to recharge electronic devices
• Comfortable seating and tables where customers can sit, hold conversations, share stories and get work done
• A television with children’s programming or local news if necessary
• A place where Federal or other assistance and relief teams can provide information and answer questions
• Games, coloring sheets, and other activities for children
• A bulletin board to share messages of hope, positive thoughts, and other important information for fellow community members
Sears will also partner with local community leaders, law enforcement and emergency response personnel, to provide resources at their disposal and to aid in the relief efforts.
Sears, Kmart and Shop Your Way are committed to delivering a holistic and positive Customer Experience.
