
Sydney Lewis is a senior coordinator in the communications function at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation. In this role, she supports communications and marketing strategy and development for education, workforce, and corporate citizenship programs and signature events.
With a background in the public and private sectors, including agency and in-house roles, Sydney has experience in financial, corporate, policy, public affairs, and social impact communications, with a focus on executive visibility, media relations, and strategic issues mapping. Previously, Sydney was a communications associate at a financial technology startup, driving internal and external communications to build brand awareness. Sydney has also held roles on the financial policy and public affairs team at Edelman, supporting financial services clients, as well as the social change agency, Fenton, supporting grassroots, coalition, and non-profit clients on pressing issues including voting rights and COVID-19 rapid response.
Sydney is a graduate of the Cathy Hughes School of Communication at Howard University where she earned a BA in Strategic, Legal, and Management Communication with a concentration in public relations and a minor in Brazilian Portuguese with summa cum laude honors.
