We Energies Foundation has donated $10,000 to The Boys & Girls Club of Greater Milwaukee and $25,000 to United Way of Greater Milwaukee & Waukesha County.
Wisconsin Public Services Foundation donated $15,000 to Brown County United Way and $5,000 to HSHS St. Vincent-St. Mary's Hospital.
Peoples Gas & North Shore Gas donated $1,000,000 to Community COVID-19 Response Funds of United Way of Metro Chicago and United Way of Lake County - American Red Cross, Greater Chicago Food Depository, Northern Illinois Food Bank, and Dixon Center for Military and Veterans. The community funds will also provide $630,000 to support partners that have been impacted including a domestic violence shelter, arts & education nonprofits and organizations focused on economic development, homelessness, and youth empowerment.
To increase the impact of the relief effort, the foundations are earmarking $300,000 of the $1,000,000 to match, dollar for dollar, donations made by employees to organizations fighting the effects of the pandemic.
The company is suspending power disconnections due to COVID-19.
