A South Florida private charter airline hopes to become an important pipeline for medical aid and needed supplies for the devastated Bahamas.
Tropic Ocean Airways in Fort Lauderdale may take to the skies over the Bahamas as soon as air space is opened for traffic Wednesday to scout out landing sites and assess the island nation’s situation.
The company has employed its fleet of amphibious Cessna Commander aircraft for rescue efforts in previous hurricanes.
