The Coca-Cola Co. and The Coca-Cola Foundation on Sept. 20 pledged $1 million to the American Red Cross to help provide immediate resources for necessary food and shelter, and aid in long-term rebuilding efforts across North and South Carolina. The Coca-Cola Foundation and its local bottling partner, Coca-Cola Bottling Company Consolidated, also donated more than one hundred thousand bottles of water and other beverages to the American Red Cross and other local community organizations to support relief shelters and emergency response efforts. The beverage giant said it's also matching employees’ contributions to the Coca-Cola Employee Disaster Relief Fund up to $100,000.
