Purchasing Power

In response to the unprecedented rain and historic flooding unfolding in Texas from the impact of Hurricane Harvey, Purchasing Power® announced this morning that $10 from every order received today will be donated to the American Red Cross for Hurricane Harvey relief efforts.

PwC

PwC Charitable Foundation, Inc. prefunded Team Rubicon’s Ready Reserve program for general disaster response, enabling it to provide onsite relief in Houston, and gave additional grants to Team Rubicon, DonorsChoose.org, Save the Children and Greater Houston Community Foundation. To date, the Foundation has awarded 84+ emergency financial relief grants totaling $176,000+ to PwC people and their immediate families impacted by Harvey, and PwC LLP is matching up to $1M in related employee giving.

Qualcomm Inc.

Qualcomm Incorporated is committing $1 million to a range of organizations providing shelter, emergency services, food, and other needed supplies. The company is immediately donating $250,000 to be distributed among the American Red Cross, Greater Houston Community Foundation, Feeding Texas, and the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals of Texas. They are also offering up to $250,000 in matching funds based on individual employee donations to selected organizations. Additionally, Qualcomm will donate $500,000 to long-term recovery efforts.

Quick Bridge Funding

Quick Bridge Funding LLC gave $3,333 to Team Rubicon.

QVC

QVC is matching customer donations to the American Red Cross (up to $100,000) to support relief efforts throughout the Gulf Coast. Additionally, QVC is making a $100,000 corporate donation and matching team member donations up to $50,000. The customer match is being promoted on-air, on-line and through QVC’s social channels and will be effective through September 9.

Ram Truck and FCA Foundation

FCA donated $75,000 to Team Rubicon and $50,000 to Americares.

Range Resources

Range Resources announced a $100,000 donation to the Red Cross for Harvey relief aid.

Raytheon

Raytheon and its employees have pledged more than $600,000 to help victims of this season's destructive hurricanes. That includes direct company donations to relief organizations and matching grants for employee donations to help victims of hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria.

Ready Pac Foods

Ready Pac Foods has shipped 24,000 Chicken Caesar Bistro Bowl pre-packaged salads to Texas.

Red Raider Outfitter

Red Raider Outfitter gave $10,000 to Breedlove and $21,000 to Salvation Army.

Regions Bank

Regions Bank is giving $100,000 to support relief efforts, rebuilding and recovery. The funds will be divided between the United Way of Greater Houston’s Flood Relief Fund and a relief program to assist Regions associates directly affected by the flooding.

Reynolds American

The Reynolds American Foundation contributed $150,000 to the Red Cross.

Rockfish

The "You Earned It" tool, which ordinarily lets team members reward coworkers with points that can be redeemed for goods or prizes, is now offering their employees the power to give up their gains in favor of company donations to relief efforts in both Dallas and Houston.

Ross Stores

Ross Stores made a $400,000 donation to the Red Cross. The discount retailer is also accepting customer contributions in stores until September 16.

Royal Bank of Canada

RBC announced a $100,000 donation to the American Red Cross in support of Americans affected by damages and displacement caused by Hurricane Harvey in Houston, Texas.

SABIC

The global chemical company donated $200,000 to the American Red Cross Texas Gulf Coast Region.

Samsung

Samsung Electronics America, Inc., Samsung Austin Semiconductor, Inc., and Samsung Semiconductor, Inc. announced a collective donation of $1 million to the Hurricane Harvey relief efforts in Texas and the surrounding southeast region of the U.S. impacted by the storm. Samsung is contributing cash funds and in-kind product donations, giving $500,000 to the American Red Cross’s efforts and another $500,000 to local charity partners and schools in the form of Samsung products - including washing machines, dryers, charging stations, tablets and laptops, as well as employee volunteerism.

Sanofi Foundation

Sanofi Foundation of North America gave $225,000 in total for Hurricane Harvey recovery efforts.

Scholastic

Scholastic made a $25,000 donation to the Red Cross to aid relief efforts in the area. Scholastic is also accepting requests for help from damaged schools via its Possible Fund, an initiative that donates books to schools in underserved communities (as well as those in areas affected by natural disasters). Additionally, the company's Scholastic Book Clubs is offering to help restock classroom libraries in areas harmed by floodwaters.

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories has donated $150,000 to the American Red Cross for Hurricane Harvey relief efforts. The company is also offering customers a price reduction, and expedited shipping, for products bound for the affected areas. SEL has five branch offices in Texas, with 52 employees in Houston. The company also has sales representatives and numerous customer in the affected region.
