
Joseph Davis

Joseph Davis is director of communications at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation, where he leads the organization’s communications, brand, and thought leadership strategy across its portfolio of initiatives. In this role, he oversees messaging, marketing, creative direction, and stakeholder engagement—ensuring the Foundation’s work is clearly articulated, widely understood, and positioned for impact.
With more than 15 years of experience, Joseph brings a rare blend of strategic insight and hands-on execution to complex communications challenges. He serves as the Foundation’s chief brand steward, guiding visual identity, narrative development, and cross-channel integration, while also acting as a spokesperson and advisor to senior leaders. His work focuses on elevating executive voices, advancing high-visibility campaigns, and translating policy- and program-driven work into compelling stories that resonate with diverse audiences.
Prior to joining the Foundation, Joseph led communications for the City of Alexandria’s Department of Community and Human Services, where he strengthened public-facing communications, increased earned media coverage, and unified messaging across departments and commissions. Earlier in his career, he held communications and marketing roles with advocacy organizations and nonprofits, building deep expertise in public affairs, media relations, content development, and community engagement.
Joseph holds a bachelor’s degree in design and communication from Florida State University and a master’s degree in communication and leadership from Gonzaga University. He also holds a certificate in brand management from Cornell University.
