GM pre-invested $1M to the American Red Cross, which helped mobilize resources ahead of Hurricanes Harvey, Irma & Maria and contributed $1M to Habitat for Humanity for rebuild efforts in the Gulf Coast region. GM’s OnStar activated call centers to support the Red Cross with high call volume, GM Financial offered deferred payment options and Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac moved inventory to impacted areas. GM employees contributed more than $130K to aid in disaster recovery.
