The FCC announced that it has approved Alphabet, Google's parent company, to provide emergency phone reception to Puerto Rico through the use of balloons.Thousands of phone towers were destroyed in Puerto Rico due to the hurricane, and Google will fly 30 balloons over the island to restore phone communication. According to the FCC, 83 percent of cell sites remain out of service.
