Great Lakes Report
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation, with research and database expertise from Guidehouse, produced a first-of-its-kind report to showcase the economic and environmental value of the circular economy (CE) in the Great Lakes and St. Lawrence region (GLR). By tracking the potential economic impact through available and forecast data, the report has outlined how companies operating within specific sectors can translate CE opportunities into business best practices that unlock new growth, competitiveness, and innovation.

As part of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation’s broader commitment to help companies shift to the circular economy, Beyond 34 is a closed-loop recycling and recovery pilot program starting in Orlando that aims to help communities, cities, and businesses create a more sustainable future.

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation’s Corporate Citizenship Center (CCC), and our partners prepared Trash to Treasure: Changing Waste Streams to Profits Streams to educate the private sector about the business value of circular economy opportunities. More and more, companies are looking towards a circular economy business model as a way to cut costs and increase efficiency. Turning waste into a resource is a huge part of that, and this report takes a deep dive into how the private sector can make "trash" an economic opportunity.
