Ann Woo leads corporate social responsibility for Samsung Electronics in North America. The company’s programs address health & wellness, education and environmental sustainability.
The cornerstone of Samsung’s social responsibility commitment is Samsung Hope for Children, a program initiated in North America and adopted by the company globally to bring attention to the worldwide need for improved childhood education and healthcare.
By supplying Samsung products, lending expertise, and providing financial support, the company is able to give children in communities around the world access to education, mentorship, leadership skills, and life-saving medical treatment. It is one way Samsung uses its innovations to create a better world. Woo joined Samsung in 2005, first leading the Consumer and Market Insights group. She has continued to hold positions of increasing responsibility and in 2011, developed a marketing planning and strategy function for the company focused on the creation of strategic programs that drive brand growth and market presence.
Prior to Samsung, Woo worked at several leading technology companies. She earned her degree in Political Science at Boston University.
