Mr. Jason Jackson leads Emergency Management for Walmart, Inc. and is responsible for global crisis management for the Fortune 1 supporting over 2.3 million associates, 350+ million customers a week, 12,000+ physical locations operating in 27 countries across 60+ banners, ecommerce operations, plus supporting infrastructure.
Emergency Management encompasses the spectrum of crisis management globally including enterprise business continuity planning, preparedness, response operations and recovery /mitigation across natural and man-made disasters, security related events and epidemiological issues. The team is based out of the Global Emergency Operations Center located at the company’s headquarters in Bentonville, Arkansas.
Jason has been with Walmart for 17 years and has led the company through some of the largest disasters of the last decade and a half while evolving the crisis framework to support the enterprise for today and for the future.
Jason has also had opportunity to lead other areas of the Walmart business to include teams in global innovations, strategy, digital and operations. Prior to Walmart, Jason worked in law enforcement and the fire service.
Jason holds both an MBA and MA, Security Management from Webster University and a BS in Emergency Management from Arkansas Tech University.
While a native of Oregon, Jason now resides in beautiful NW Arkansas with his wife and children.
