Maureen Sterbach is Service Area Vice President of Human Resources, Education, Employee Health and Employee Wellness for Chandler Regional Medical Center, Mercy Gilbert Medical Center, St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center and St. Joseph’s Westgate.
She is responsible for human resources strategies in the areas of talent development, employee wellness, and workforce engagement for over 8,700 employees. She brings broad skills in human resources operations, compensation and benefits, organization development, change management and employee relations gained through more than 10 years of experience in senior level positions in the financial industry and her 16 year tenure in healthcare.
Maureen has a passion for creating a workplace culture that is build upon integrity, collaboration, and development of staff. She is known for her strong advocacy for employees and her ability to implement large scale change initiatives supporting business operations while maintaining strong employee engagement. Under her leadership St. Joseph’s has opened a state-of-the art Simulation Center to support education and development of staff, students and physicians.
Maureen received her lifetime certification for Senior Professional in Human Resources. Maureen received her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Gannon University in Pennsylvania. She enjoys golf, yoga, traveling and watching her favorite sports teams.
