Mouli Venkatesan is chief information officer of UnitedHealthcare core services. He is responsible for establishing, leading and executing strategic technology roadmaps and the associated capital investments to support UnitedHealthcare’s businesses through innovative and differentiated technology capabilities. He also leads technology strategy, planning, coordination and integration with the UnitedHealthcare’s technology agenda, with a focus on providing innovative solutions across the enterprise.
Prior to this role, Mouli was the vice president & chief technology leader of Medicare and Retirement at UnitedHealthcare, he managed the technology strategy, business alignment and engineering design to create and launch innovative solutions combined with social media to address the challenges facing healthcare markets. At that time he also led the UnitedHealthcare clinical technology strategy creating integrated architecture and solutions for analytical and transactional clinical functions. During his eight years at Cognizant, Mouli consulted with Fortune 500 companies in the United States and Europe.
Mouli also leads UnitedHealth Group’s culture program by serving as the global leader of culture ambassadors in the enterprise.
Mouli holds his undergraduate degree in electronic engineering from Indian University and his MBA in health care from the University of St. Thomas. He currently resides in Minnesota with his wife and two children.
