Tim Shannon joined Royal DSM in 2015 as its Business Unit Director to lead the Regenerative Materials Business within DSM Biomedical. Since his arrival, Mr. Shannon has held multiple executive leadership positions to include President-ad interim of the Biomedical Group.
Prior to joining DSM, he has held a broad range of executive and commercial leadership positions in Fortune 50 multinational organizations such as General Electric, mid-size companies such as Teleflex Inc. and Boston Scientific Corporation as well as multiple VC start-ups. Mr. Shannon has 30+ years in the medical device industry and has experienced the dramatic changes within the space primarily led by value-based purchasing, consolidation and digitization. He has also served as a board member and advisor to SystemsMerge, a medical informatics company with proprietary technology that allows disparate data sets to work in concert for the betterment of patient care.
