
Elizabeth Lipscomb serves as Discovery Education's Vice President of Strategic Alliances. Born out of Discovery Communications, the number one nonfiction media company in the world, Discovery Education is a global leader in digital education and instruction for K-12 classrooms. Leading Discovery Education's involvement with like-minded social issue networks, workforce coalitions and education task forces, Lipscomb guides alignment with key stakeholders in education to amplify outcome-based programming.
Seeking to inform and enhance Discovery Education's pro-social support to K-12 district partners, Lipscomb serves as the chief representative for the company's commitment to building an equitable future for today’s learners in tomorrow’s globally connected economy. Focused on traditionally under-funded areas such as STEM education, college access, career readiness, financial literacy, health, environmental stewardship, youth safety and more, her work fosters enhanced K-12 curriculum and the delivery of free resources to students, parents, teachers and communities.
Lipscomb serves on the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation, Corporate Citizenship Center’s Advisory Board, Landmark’s Social Innovation Summit Leadership Council, and spearheaded the inaugural Education Roundtable series for the CCC. Since joining Discovery Education in 2011, Lipscomb has held a variety of marketing and partnership development roles before assuming her current responsibilities in 2014. Lipscomb is a graduate of Clemson University and resides in New York City.
