Kirsten Fedewa successfully utilizes her experience and national network of contacts to assist the firm’s clients, such as world renowned tenor Anthony Kearns for whom she has secured several multi-million dollar celebrity appearances on television (PBS, The Huckabee Show, etc.) and other high level engagements, including with Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, Gen. Martin Dempsey; Governors Martin O’Malley (MD), Bob McDonnell (VA) and Steve Beshear (KY);  Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, Congressman John Boehner, with VIP guests President Barack Obama and Irish Prime Minister Enda Kenny, a PBS special with the U.S. Air Force Band, among others.

The firm’s highest profile client to date is former Presidential Candidate Gov. Mike Huckabee (AR), for whom she developed a national media strategy.  Gov. Huckabee continues to work with Fedewa on special projects such as the February 2010 interview of First Lady Michele Obama on his Fox News Netwomedirk television show, a children’s video series he co-founded called “Learn our History,” and publicity for his best-selling books.

Fedewa helped Gov. Huckabee win the 2008 Iowa Republican caucuses and seven other primaries using a shoe-string media budget. Fedewa began her work on strategic media for Huckabee as far back as 2004, personally handling all of the campaign’s media bookings, including interviews with actor Chuck Norris. The value of the earned media in the Huckabee campaign is estimated in the hundreds of millions of dollars.

In 2008, Fedewa co-produced a bi-partisan health care forum for The Obesity Society with moderator Lesley Stahl at the 2008 G.O.P. convention, working closely with Anita Dunn, President Obama’s senior communications adviser.  The forum featured Huckabee,  former Health and Human Services Secretary Tommy G. Thompson, state senator Bob Clegg (NH), health care industry officials and others.  Fedewa also served as director of media scheduling at the 2008 Republican National Convention for the G.O.P.’s highest-profile surrogates, including former Gov. Mitt Romney (MA), former Mayor Rudolph Giuliani, former Sen. Fred Thompson,and Huckabee.

In 2009, Fedewa began working with Anthony Kearns, a founding member of the successful group, The Irish Tenors.  Fedewa has used her ever-growing network of contacts to secure top-quality VIP engagements for Mr. Kearns and parlay them into strong media interest and coverage — as well as concerts and other celebrity appearances.  She organized Mr. Kearns’ appearance at the New Zealand Embassy to benefit the USO and the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund; at a tribute to American hero General Jim Hall, USAF (Ret.) with special guests former Gov. Bill Owens, Cong. Michael Coffman, former Cong. Bob Beauprez and others; his performance at the Friends of Ireland Luncheon as the guest of Speaker Boehner with special guests President Obama, the Prime Minister of Ireland, members of Congress, and foreign dignitaries; as well as other events.  The firm also developed publicity campaigns for other V.I.P. clients, including Michael Reagan, best-selling author and son of Pres. Ronald W. Reagan, and the recent movie blockbuster, “Act of Valor.”

Fedewa is a founding Board Member and publicist for The Steamboat Institute, a nonprofit organization created in 2009 to promote America’s founding principles.  The Institute’s first inaugural Freedom Conference held in August 2009 was carried by C-Span and featured in The Washington Post, The Denver Post, The Los Angeles Times, and other publications; the second conference was even more successful and plans are now underway for 2013.
