Alice Korngold, President & CEO, Korngold Consulting LLC provides strategy advisory services and facilitates leadership retreats for executives from multinational corporations, professional services firms, academic and healthcare institutions, and global, national, and
regional nonprofits. Her areas of expertise are corporate governance, sustainability, corporate social responsibility (CSR), measurement and ratings, strategic revenue models, and corporate/nonprofit partnerships.
Korngold facilitates a unique and highly innovative process to help boards to achieve transformational change for strategic and financial sustainability. She has also trained and placed several hundred business executives and professionals on NGO/nonprofit boards.
Korngold authored A Better World, Inc.: How Companies Profit by Solving Global Problems…Where Governments Cannot (Palgrave Macmillan, 2014) and Leveraging Good Will:Strengthening Nonprofits by Engaging Businesses (Jossey-Bass, a Wiley Imprint, 2005). She is the co-author of a chapter on “Corporate Volunteerism: Strategic Community Involvement,” in Corporate Philanthropy at the Crossroads (Indiana University Press, 1996). She recently authored a chapter on Sustainability and Corporate Governance for a book on board governance that will be published by Wiley in 2015. In September, 2014, Korngold interviewed Muhammad Yunus at the United Nations 69th General Assembly USAID/DFID Millennium Development Goals Countdown. In 2014-2015, she is guest lecturing at graduate business and law schools on corporate governance and sustainability, including at the University of Michigan, Harvard, and Texas A&M University. In 2015, Korngold will guest lecture at graduate business and law schools internationally. Korngold is the keynote speaker, moderator, or panelist at the Global Impact Forum 2014 and
2015 (Zurich); NetImpact 2014; PYXERA Global’s 2014 Annual Conference,; the Millstein Annual Governance Forum 2014; the Committee Encouraging Corporate Philanthropy (CECP) Annual Conference 2014; and the Clinton Global Initiative Annual Meeting 2013. She has been
featured by the Carnegie Council for Ethics in International Affairs for several years.
During the eighteen years prior to founding her firm in NYC in 2005, Korngold established and led two highly successful social enterprises focused on corporate social responsibility and nonprofit board governance.
