Candy Johnson

Director of Policy, Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce

Candy is the Director of Policy at the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce in Nashville, Tennessee. Candy is the lead for the Chamber’s Education Report Card Committee, and also supports the work of industry partnership councils and the CEO Champions for the Academies of Nashville.

Prior to joining the Chamber she served as executive director of the Clarksville-Montgomery County Education Foundation, where she developed strategic plans for fundraising and donor relationships for the public schools, as well as managing the efforts of more than 250 public school volunteers. Johnson has a master's of public administration degree from Murray State University in Murray, Ky., and a bachelor of public management degree from Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, Tenn. She also served four years as the Clarksville City Council representative from Ward 5.
