Caroline Schoenecker serves as the chief of staff to Deb DeHaas, the chief inclusion officer and national managing partner of the Center for Board Effectiveness, Deloitte. In this role, Caroline helps drive core efforts within the Inclusion Center of Excellence and the Center for Board Effectiveness. Prior to this role, Caroline spent time in the Strategy & Operations practice of Deloitte Consulting. She prepared organizations and stakeholders for large organizational changes and implementations in the Financial Services, Energy & Resources, and Health Care & Life Sciences industries.
She earned her MBA from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia where she was a Jefferson Scholars Foundation Fellow and Forte Fellow. Prior to Darden, she spent four years in the education sector. Caroline led a local school restructuring team as a classroom teacher in Washington, D.C and managed a regional team in developing and executing growth strategy for Teach For America. She still maintains her commitment to education, and serves on the Ambassador Board of KIPP DC, a charter school network in Washington, DC. She holds an MA and BA from American University and Northwestern University, respectively.
