Dr. Carole Mars is the Director of Technical Development & Innovation at The Sustainability Consortium (TSC), Arizona State University. She responsible for the development of THESIS KPIs and related information on sustainability issues and improvement opportunities in manufactured goods supply chains. Her research is focused on the consumer electronics and battery industries, with an emphasis on product fate, end-of-life management, and the circular economy. She also serves as the Technical Advisor to the Responsible Battery Coalition. Prior to joining the Consortium, Dr. Mars worked as a process engineer in the semiconductor equipment manufacturing industry. Dr. Mars earned her Ph.D. at Pennsylvania State University, in surface analytical chemistry and her bachelor of science in chemistry at the University of Arizona.
