Elizabeth Weingarten is the director of the Global Gender Parity initiative, a project of New America's Better Life Lab where she is also a senior fellow. Before joining New America, she worked on the editorial staffs of the Atlantic, Slate and Qatar Today magazine. Outside of New America, Elizabeth is an editor at the Behavioral Scientist, a magazine that aims to make behavioral science research more accessible to the general public. She has spoken on gender issues at the UN and SXSW, and has written about gender equality in prestigious media outlets including the Atlantic, Slate, the Financial Times, Foreign Policy, Time, CNN, and others. She is a graduate of Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism.
