Heather Gandy, Director of Global Engagement and Giving at AbbVie, is responsible for designing and leading AbbVie and the AbbVie Foundation’s global giving and volunteer programs. AbbVie’s giving is focused on three priorities of building strong communities; sustainable healthcare systems; and effective educational programs. As part of the Corporate Responsibility, Brand & Communications organization, Heather leads a team of CSR professionals that help drive AbbVie’s reputation and advance its culture.
Prior to Global Engagement and Giving, Heather spent 19 years in various Abbott/AbbVie roles, including most recently as the national sales manager for the immunology account executive team. She was instrumental in developing performance standards and rebranding the account executive role within the organization. Heather led the digital strategy and e-detailing efforts for Rheumatology professional marketing. Additionally, Heather launched HUMIRA in Rheumatology and Gastroenterology as a sales representative and district manager. Throughout her career, Heather has been dedicated to supporting patients through education and partnership with local chapters of the CCFA and the Arthritis Foundation.
Heather has a Bachelor’s of Science in Communications from Miami University, and lives in Lake Bluff, IL with her husband and two children.
