Jackie VanderBrug

Senior Vice President and Investment Strategist, U.S. Trust

Jackie is VanderBrug is a Senior Vice President in the Portfolio Analytics, Consulting and Institutional Group at U.S. Trust, Bank of America Private Wealth Management.  She is responsible for formulating and developing the firm’s values based investing strategy as well as the product offerings across asset classes that align with our client’s objectives.  She also provides thought leadership and support for a client’s locally-based U.S. Trust team of investment professionals.

Jackie brings a broad array of experience including entrepreneur, analyst and strategy consultant.  As part of the start-up team at iBasis she led Business Development, growing the global VOiP firm from start-up stage through a successful IPO.  She cofounded WORK IN PROGRESS, a non-profit social enterprise focused on career development for underprivileged youth.  Her understanding of the interrelated aspects of social change was first formed as a domestic policy analyst for the U.S. Congress and her strategy skills, while working with Fortune 500 firms on large scale change projects, and as a management consultant for CSC Index.

Prior to joining U.S. Trust, Jackie was Managing Director at Criterion Ventures, a hybrid consulting firm, accelerator, and think tank where she worked with high net worth individuals and large non-profits as a thought leader, advisor and catalyst of capital and change. While at Criterion, she was instrumental in the establishment of the pioneering social investing fund, Good Capital.  She led the development of the emerging field of gender lens investing as a founder of the Women Effect Investments initiative.  Through her role in developing and facilitating Structure Lab workshops, she has helped hundreds of organizations think through their legal and financial structures to maximize their social impact.

Jackie serves on the Advisory Boards of the Opportunity Collaboration, the International Center for Research on Women, and the Trustees of the Donations.  She is a judge for competitions including Echoing Green, the Hitachi Foundation, and the Social Impact Exchange.  A regular speaker, her recent engagements include the Nantucket Project, The International Finance Corporation, TEDx, SOCAP, C200 and the Women’s Funding Network.  Jackie received her M.B.A from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan and her B.S. in Mathematics from Calvin College.
