Global Product Sustainability Leader, Packaging and Specialty Plastics, The Dow Chemical Company
As the Product Sustainability Leader for Packaging and Specialty Plastics, Jarod Davis leads a global team of product stewards that enable product development, ensure compliance with product regulations, characterize and manage product risks, and engage customers and external stakeholders on product inquiries. Jarod is responsible for managing resources and work processes that assure environmental, health and safety (EHS) vulnerabilities/opportunities are consistent with the global business strategy and enhance long-term value optimization for The Dow Chemical Company.
Jarod started his career in 1999 at Dow AgroSciences (DAS) as an EHS Delivery Specialist supporting manufacturing operations in Pittsburg, CA. Jarod also served as an Environmental Specialist for DAS in Indianapolis, IN and Legislative Assistant in Dow’s Washington, D.C. office before accepting the role of Public Policy Manager in 2007. As Public Policy Manager, he developed strategies around emerging public policy issues and trends while managing public relations activities associated with legacy issues and litigation activities. Jarod built on this role by transitioning into the Corporate Sustainability team where he acted as the External Engagement Leader, which was followed by his leadership of the North American Product Regulatory team.
Jarod also recently served as the Regulatory Services Leader (RSL) for Texas. Complimenting his national regulatory leadership role, Jarod’s RSL responsibilities focused on advocating Dow’s regulatory and policy positions, management of government approvals and permits, and negotiations on government agency enforcement actions.
Jarod holds a B.S. in Environmental Management from Louisiana State University. He also earned a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Tulane University School of Law with a Certificate of Specialization in Environmental Law. he is an alumnus of the Thurnderbrid School of Global Management.
