Lawrence Bowdish is Senior Director, Research and Issue Networks with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation's Corporate Citizenship Center. 

Lawrence Bowdish started consulting the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation Corporate Citizenship Center on its Issue Network research in May 2013. He conducts long-term research projects concentrating on issues or topics prominent in corporate social responsibility. By working directly with companies, chambers of commerce, nonprofits and associations to determine compelling research questions, he leverages qualitative and quantitative tools that create rigorous projects that have meaningful impact and broad appeal.

Previously, he was a Professor for the American Military University and The Ohio State University teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in U.S. History, Women’s History, Economic History, and the History of Technology. He also worked as a consultant for county health departments that were instituting public health initiatives for youth and teens in the state of Florida.

Bowdish holds a Ph.D. (2010) in Modern American and Economic History from the Ohio State University, where he wrote a dissertation on consumer credit discrimination, and published articles on the mortgage and student loan markets. He has a B.A. (2004) in History and Economics from New College of Florida.
