Mindy Bennett brings over twenty five years of experience in the early childhood sector including direct classroom teaching for children birth – kindergarten, owning a family child care home, child care center administration, as well as child care resource and referral work on a lcal, state and national level. She spent over 20 years working in the Indiana child care system where she directed Indiana’s largest local child care resource and referral (CCR&R) agency and later the work of Indiana’s state CCR&R network. Mindy holds a Masters of Arts in Education as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and a BS degree in Early Childhood Education.
Mindy has worked on a national level with Child Care Aware® of America (CCAoA) for over 10 years. She served on Child Care Aware® of America’s Membership Council, Public Policy Committee and the Board of Directors. Since joining the CCAoA staff in July of 2017 she has held the roles of Director of Professional Development, Director of Family and Community Engagement Content Management and she is currently the Interim Deputy Chief of Partnerships.
