Rebecca E. Curzon leads global disaster response and resiliency strategies for IBM Corporate Citizenship. With a decades-long career in corporate social responsibility, she applies her deep expertise and leadership to integrated strategic philanthropy programs that apply IBM’s best talent and technology to addressing societal challenges. IBM’s disaster relief and resiliency program has responded to more than sixty disasters since 2001, including the migrant/refugee crisis in Europe, infectious disease outbreaks, and most recently, the hurricanes and quakes affecting North America and Mexico. In 2016, the program awarded disaster-related IBM Impact Grants totaling one million dollars. The program was named Best Disaster Response and Community Resilience Program by the US Chamber of Commerce Foundation in 2013. Ms. Curzon also leads IBM’s Grant-making Center of Excellence and manages custom consulting Impact Grant engagements in support of capacity building and problem-solving for nonprofit and education partners. She is a director of the American Red Cross of Massachusetts.
