Rusty Brockman has worked for the Greater New Braunfels Chamber of Commerce as the Vice President of Economic Development since 2001. Prior to that, Brockman taught, coached, and held campus and central office positions for 30 years in the public education system. Since retirement from the Chamber in March 2018, Brockman has been serving as the Community Relations Director for Cemex in New Braunfels, a cement and aggregate company serving the United States.
Brockman serves as the Chairman of the Guadalupe Blanco River Authority, Secretary of the Central Texas Technology Center Advisory Board, a member of the Community Advisory Board for the New Braunfels Food Bank, a member of the Spark Small Business Development Center, a member of the New Braunfels Breakfast Lions Club, member of the Community Advisory Council for Resolute Health Hospital, and is a past President and Grossa Opa of the Wurstfest Association.
He is married to M’Liss for 43 years and they reside in New Braunfels, Texas. He is the father of three children and has 5 grandchildren.
