Erica Tavares works as Senior Director for Institutional Advancement at International Medical Corps, where she leads teams to work together in fundraising to achieve breakthrough results. With two decades of nonprofit and fundraising experience, she specializes in jumpstarting new funding channels, developing public-private partnerships and expertly leveraging resources to meet global programmatic goals while astutely bridging donors and implementers needs for effective giving. Erica currently leads private sector, corporate and GIK fundraising efforts at International Medical Corps, managing the organization’s multi-sector partnerships with a number of foundation partners and Fortune 500 companies, including AIG, FedEx, the Gates Foundation, JPMorgan Chase, MetLife, P&G, and Walmart, among others. Erica was previously a member of the senior management team at Women for Women International, helping to grow their annual revenue from $1 million to more than $30 million. She sits on a number of boards, including for the Partnership for Quality Medical Donations, and has previously worked with the Democratic National Committee. Erica received her BA in Political Science from American University.
