Sergio Fernández de Córdova

Sergio Fernández de Córdova is a Peruvian Born, internationally recognized entrepreneur, investor and philanthropist working at the intersection of media and leveraging public-private partnerships for social impact. In 2011, he co-founded IMGH - Infrastructure Media Group Holdings, a holding company focused on global infrastructure, energy, commodities and public-private partnerships which launched P3 Global Management (P3GM, p3gm.com) a Public-Private Partnership company, enhancing cities through continuous innovation by Investing in municipal infrastructure. In 2012 he co-founded, as Chairman, PVBLIC Foundation (pvblic.org), which focuses on repurposing millions of dollars’ worth of unused media space around the globe to non-profits each year and Sergio co-founded Fuel Outdoor Holdings (fueloutdoor.com) in 2003, growing the company to over 4,000 outdoor advertising locations in nine markets nationwide, making it one of the top 3 largest, privately owned companies in the industry. He sold the company to Och-Ziff, a global institutional asset management firm with over $31 billion in capital, and exited in 2011. Och-Ziff successfully sold the company to Van Wagner Communications in November of 2012 which was recently acquired by CBS in 2014.
 
Sergio was one of the youngest initiators of public-private partnerships to drive business and social change. Launching from much of his work at Fuel, Sergio single-handedly forged a variety of private-public partnerships with political and business leaders around the world. As a reflection of his progressive understanding of business and a burgeoning global economy, he is an active investor or advisor in multiple start-ups and emerging market expansions focused on multilateral groups, media and technology.
 
Sergio was a finalist with The New York Enterprise Report awards for; Sales in 2006, Leadership in 2007, Mergers and Acquisitions in 2008, and was the winner of the Social Responsibility Program of the Year in 2010 with Fuel Outdoor’s triple bottom line program. The Executive Council of New York's Ten Awards recognized Sergio as Best Up & Comer Executive Award Finalist in 2007 & 2008. In 2009 Young Entrepreneurs organization recognized him as the Member of the Year. In 2011, Latin Trends honored Sergio with the Latino Trendsetter award, for his work in the Latino community. In 2012, Dell Inc. named Sergio one of its #Inspired 100 leading global influencers in entrepreneurship, who use technology to empower and inspire others. In 2014 was a finalist for Top NY based Energy Companies with P3GM. In 2015 Meet LATAM Conference recognized Sergio as Young Entrepreneurial Latin Global Leader & Influencer for his work is social impact in Latin America. Most recently the Humanitarian Innovation Forum honored Sergio at the United Nations with the Global Social Impact Award for his work is using media to help organizations tell their story. Sergio has had the honor of being chosen to serve in a delegation for the past Presidents of Latin America at the Aspen Institute’s Ideas Festival and the Biennial Gathering of the Americas.

Sergio began his entrepreneurial career at the age of 12 by starting a newspaper with his mother. Sergio was Knighted in Madrid, Spain to the Order of St. Lazarus, by Don Carlos Gereda y de Borbon, Marques de Almazan; in 2011 and is a member of the prestigious Friars Club, in New York City. A graduate of Rutgers University with a Bachelor’s in Sociology, Sergio also completed the Massachusetts Institute of Technology; MIT Enterprise Forum/Inc./Young Entrepreneurs Organization’s The Birthing of Giants® executive program, an annual program for 60 hand-picked worldwide business leaders under the age of 40.
